Job summary

Pall Corporation, part of Danaher, is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and run CNC lathe and milling machines using Planning Sheets, tooling, gauges and materials.

You will maintain good throughput, interpret drawings and tolerances, select tooling, perform machine set-ups and manufacture precision components to exact specs.

Rotating 3-shift pattern (6-14, 14-22, 22-06). Join a team driven by safety, quality and continuous improvement under the DBS framework.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent CNC qualification.
• Ability to read drawings and GD&T.
• Commitment to quality and safe working practices.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Effectively and efficiently setting and operating CNC lathe/Milling machines using the Planning Sheets, tooling, gauges and material provided.
• Maintain a good volume of work through the machine using the guidelines of times given on the Planning Sheets or a time given as a result of a time request.

Requirements

• Completed a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, Craftsman training programme, or equivalent qualification, or be qualified through substantial CNC machining experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrates a high level of CNC machining competence, including the ability to interpret engineering drawings, understand geometrical tolerancing, select appropriate tooling, perform machine set-ups, and manufacture precision components to exact specifications. Maintains a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
• Maintains high standards of health, safety and housekeeping at all times, following established procedures and promoting safe working practices. Works effectively as part of a team and contributes positively to achieving operational goals.
