Precision Turned Parts Limited are seeking a trainee CNC programmer/setter/operator to help with the day to day running of our machine shop floor.

We are a small friendly and well-established business manufacturing large batches of sub-contract components and assemblies for various industries on a Kanban basis. Our typical batch size would be 2000 or more.

Currently we have 5 sliding head Citizen A20 machines, 1 x Citizen L20, 1 x Citizen L32 and 2 fixed head Miyano turning centres that are run 24 hours a day on a single day shift from our premises at Holton Heath Trading Park in Poole, Dorset.

Our ideal candidate would have the following experience and abilities:

• Completed a mechanical engineering apprenticeship or qualifications within engineering or mechanics at college or university level
• Possess excellent attention to detail and a meticulous way of thinking
• To be able to problem solve and troubleshoot all aspects of machining, work from technical drawings
• Previous experience within a factory or workshop setting would be advantageous, but not essential

This is a Monday to Friday, 39 hour working week with starting pay up to £16.00 p/h depending on experience with the opportunity for a pay review after the successful completion of an initial 6 month trial contract.

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday - 8.00am until 4.30pm

Fridays - 8.00am - 3.00pm
