Job description

CNC Service Engineer

A role has arisen for an experienced and multi-skilled CNC Service Engineer who no longer wants to travel.

This role is based in the factory of a large CNC machinery and robot automation supplier. You will also be trained on automated robot cells.

The role requires an experienced multiskilled CNC Service Engineer (or multiskilled CNC maintenance engineer).

  1. Working on brand new CNC machines
  2. No travel
  3. No staying away
  4. 38 hours week

The role involves installing, testing, and commissioning new CNC machines and robot automation solutions before they are dismantled and shipped to the customer.

The Role
  • Install and commission CNC machines and robots in factory and showroom
  • Faultfinding, mechanical and electrical interface work
  • Run up the machines, configure programs
  • Carry out test procedures and document findings
  • Write SOPs
  • Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5:00pm
    Friday 8:30am – 3:00pm
Requirements
  • Modern Apprenticeship level 3 engineering – essential
  • Electrical knowledge – essential
  • Fault finding, reading engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following controls: Fanuc / Siemens / Heidenhain – essential
  • You will likely be a CNC service engineer or CNC maintenance engineer at a manufacturer with lots of CNC machines.
  • Live locally already.
