Staffline in Truro, Cornwall, is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer Setter Operator to join their manufacturing team. The role involves programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC machines to produce components to customer drawings, with inspections and adherence to SPC requirements.

The position offers a dayshift, full-time permanent contract with a competitive salary in Cornwall. The ideal candidate will have an apprenticeship in mechanical engineering, strong CNC experience (Mazak preferred),

Qualifications

• Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering (nice to have).
• General high standard of engineering ability (essential).
• +2 years CNC experience (preferably Mazak).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents to check finished components.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating a variety of CNC machinery using Mazak controls.
• Inspect own work to drawing and SPC requirements.
• Maintain high standard of engineering ability and area upkeep.
• Travel throughout the UK and overseas as required.

Salary - Up to £36,400 per annum

A great opportunity to join a successful manufacturing business located in beautiful Cornwall. They are looking for a skilled CNC machinist (Programmer Setter Operator level) to supplement their team in a role that has arisen through growth.

Key Responsibilities - CNC Programmer Setter Operator

This role provides the business with the running of one or more CNC machines.

• Programming, Setting and operating a variety of CNC Machinery using Mazak control systems to produce turned components to customer drawings and specifications
• Inspection of your own work to drawing and SPC requirements
• General high standard of engineering ability - fully skilled
• Maintain your area to a high standard

Qualifications & Requirements - CNC Programmer Setter Operator

• Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering - nice to have
• General high standard of engineering ability - fully skilled - essential

• Ability to understand CNC programming language and modify programmes as required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents to check and inspect finished components for defects.li>
