Job summary

Ethero Strategic Staffing has a CNC Setter/Programmer/Operator role in Telford. Working 08:00-16:00, Monday to Friday, you will join an experienced team on a solid client base. Salary around C£35,000 with temporary to permanent prospects.

You will program, set and operate using PowerMill CAM and CMS Area 3618 5-axis, reading drawings and CAD models to meet tight deadlines. Proven ability to work unsupervised, excellent communication, and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years in CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator roles.
• Proficiency with PowerMill CAM software.
• Able to read and understand drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Able to work to deadlines and unsupervised when needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and program CNC machines using PowerMill CAM.
• Operate Siemens & Heidenhain controllers.
• Work with 3D CAD models and CAM data.
• Maintain safety and quality standards in production.

CNC Setter/Programmer/Operator

Job role / duties

• Work with materials such as model board, aluminium & steel.
• Deal with any issues that arise in relation to machine programming and operating, adjusting where necessary
• Operate Siemens & Heidenheim controllers
• Use CMS Area 3618 5-axis, Dugard, Mte and Hurco machines
• Work with 3D CAD models and use Power Mill CAM software
• Work in line with machine capability to meet customer quality expectations.
• Liaise with colleagues and customers to ensure jobs are completed in the timeframe and quality parameters required
• Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
• Maintaining and promoting safe working practices within the department, including the correct operation of tools, equipment and PPE.

To be considered you MUST

• Have at least 5 years experience in this job role
• Have proficiency with Power Mill cam software
• Have experience as outlined in the duties
• Be used to workig to deadline
• Be able to read and understand drawings
• Able to read and understand drawings and work with 3D CAD models
• Be able to work unsupervised at times
• Have excellent verbal & written communication skills
