Job summary

Our client, a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in the UK, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to program, set and operate CNC milling or turning machines in a low-volume, high-quality production environment. This hands-on role requires reading engineering drawings, inspecting to tight tolerances, and contributing to lean manufacturing initiatives.

The role offers a double day shift pattern with a salary up to £46,000 including shift premium, plus a company pension, life

Qualifications

Programming, setting and operating CNC milling or turning machines.
Ability to read engineering drawings and inspect to tight tolerances.
Experience in low-volume, high-precision manufacturing.
Proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail.
Experience with precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

Program, set and operate CNC milling or turning machines.
Manufacture components to drawings with tight tolerances.
Produce low-volume, high-quality machined parts.
Manufacture and modify jigs, fixtures and tooling.
Carry out first-off and in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment.
Read and interpret engineering drawings.
Record production activity using ERP system.
