Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a CAD/CAM CNC Programmer for a precision engineering firm in Trowbridge. You will develop, prove and optimise CNC programs for high‑end aerospace components, using Fusion 360 and other CAD/CAM packages.

The role combines offline programming with shop floor support and ongoing process improvement. The ideal candidate will have 5‑axis programming experience, a strong CAD/CAM background, and a UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience programming CNC machines for precision components.
• Experience with Fusion 360 or similar CAD/CAM packages is required.
• 5-axis programming experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, prove and optimise CNC programs for high-end aerospace components.
• Support daily workshop activities and production runs.
• Cover offline programming and process improvement initiatives using CAD/CAM tools.

Are you a CAD/CAM Programmer or similar who has Autodesk Fusion 360 knowledge or similar, looking to step into a varied and versatile role that will offer flexible hours and the opportunity to progress your career within a growing aerospace company?

The company for over 50 years has specialised in manufacturing high end CNC machined components for the Aerospace, Defence, Oil and Gas industries.

With continued growth, an opportunity arises for a CAD/CAM Programmer to join the team. You will develop, prove and optimise CNC programs as well as support daily workshop activities. Some CMM experience is ideal in this role

helping to devise new manufacturing techniques as well as covering aspects of offline programming with Fusion 360 and other CAD/CAM packages.

This role would suit a CNC Programmer, looking to step into an into a new role for a growing precision engineering firm who specialise within aerospace.
