Job summary

Orion Electrotech is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join a precision engineering manufacturer in Brownhills. You will programme, set and optimise production on modern Doosan CNC machines, producing brass, 316 stainless steel and aluminium components to tight tolerances.

The role offers a stable long‑term career with regular overtime, a 40‑hour week and a dedicated engineering team in a growing business supplying customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Experience programming CNC machines using Fanuc controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience setting and proving out CNC jobs.
• Experience with CNC milling (3-axis preferred).

Responsibilities

• Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls.
• Create and modify CNC programmes from engineering drawings.
• Set up and prove out new jobs.
• Optimise cycle times and production efficiency.
• Tool selection, tooling offsets and machine setup.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Produce precision components to tight tolerances.
• Support continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain high quality throughout production.
