The ideal candidate will have strong programming and machining skills, particularly in the aerospace sector. Key responsibilities include operating CNC milling machines, programming using CAD/CAM, and ensuring compliance with aerospace standards. Qualifications

  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Fully competent in CNC milling operations and programming.
  • Experience with fourth and fifth axis machines is desirable.
  • Strong general engineering knowledge and precision-focused mindset.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines with FANUC (or Siemens) controls.
  • Produce both online and offline CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to machine prismatic components.
  • Self-inspect work to meet drawings and SPC requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with 5C/5S standards.

CNC Miller Programmer

Location: Poole

Salary: £19.00 £21.50 per hour

Shift: Day shift

A precision engineering company in Poole is currently seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong programming and machining skills, particularly within the aerospace sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines with FANUC (or Siemens) controls
  • Produce both online and offline CNC programs using CAD/CAM software
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to machine prismatic components
  • Self-inspect work to meet drawings and SPC requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with 5C/5S standards

Preferred Software Experience

  • Edgecam and SolidWorks experience is an advantage but not essential
