Location: Hertfordshire, UK
Rate: £20 - £24 + Unlimited, uncapped overtime paid at 1.5x

Operating a state-of-the-art engineering facility with the latest DMG Mori Seiki machines and HyperMill programming software, they pride themselves on exceptional standards, a clinical working environment, and the opportunity to work on truly cutting-edge projects.
The Opportunity:
As a CNC Programmer/Machinist, you will join a well-established team of CNC engineers and use your skills to develop programs for newly designed parts and production components requiring optimised cycle times.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop CNC programs for complex prototype and production components using Openmind (Hypermill/HyperCAD) software
Create comprehensive setup documentation for Setter-Operators
Select appropriate tooling and production methodology
Conduct program simulations to ensure integrity and minimise on-machine adjustments
Produce first-off components and carry out first-off inspections
Adjust programs to correct dimensional errors
Design tooling and work holding as required
Collaborate closely with inspection teams to meet tight tolerances
Manage your workload efficiently while adhering to 5C/5S principles
Key Skills & Experience:
Strong experience programming CNC mills and lathes for complex parts with minimal adjustments
Proficient in setting and operating CNC machinery
Deep understanding of engineering drawings and CMM inspection reports
Excellent attention to detail and timekeeping
Minimum 5 years programming experience in prototype work
Ideally experienced with Heidenhain controls and DMG Mori machines
Background producing components for Motorsport and Aerospace sectors
Skilled in machining varied materials with a clear understanding of appropriate methods
