Job description

Seeking a proactive and technically skilled individual to take ownership of the CNC and Laser department. You’ll be directly responsible for running, programming, and setting up a variety of CNC and laser machinery, including 3 and 5 axis routers and a high-performance laser cutter.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop machine-ready programs for 3-axis routers using 2D CAD/CAM (Alphacam).
2. Adjust and upload programs for 5-axis equipment based on operational parameters and offset values.
3. Configure machines with jigs, fixtures, and tooling for efficient production.
4. Act as the technical expert for the CNC cell, providing support and knowledge sharing across the team.
5. Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and quality standards, while performing routine machine maintenance.

The Candidate:

• Strong understanding of 3-axis and 5-axis routing techniques and workflows.
• Confidence in programming, setting, and operating CNC machines across different platforms.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and NC code.
• Proficiency with measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, verniers) to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software, preferably Alphacam.

The Package:
