Responsibilities

• Collect and assemble all required tools, inserts, fixtures, and gauges for each job.
• Ensure tools are clean, calibrated, and ready for use.
• Cross-check kits against job sheets, CNC programs, and setup instructions.
• Label kits clearly for easy identification.
• Monitor tool usage and maintain minimum stock levels.
• Report damaged or worn tools for timely replacement.
• Maintain accurate records of kits prepared, issued and returned.
• Update ERP/MRP systems with tool movements as required.
• Inspect tools for wear or defects and follow safety protocols.
• Coordinate with planners, machinists, and production teams for urgent requirements.
• Escalate shortages or discrepancies promptly.
• Suggest improvements to reduce kit preparation time and errors.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CNC Pre Kit Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our CNC machining processes by preparing and organizing all necessary tools, inserts, fixtures, gauges, and consumables. By maintaining high levels of efficiency and accuracy, you will play a critical role in supporting our production team and ensuring repeatable, high-quality results.

• Competitive hourly rate of up to £19.00 per hour, depending on experience and knowledge.
• Standard working hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PMFriday: 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM (39 basic hours per week).

Responsibilities

As a Pre Kit Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

Tool Preparation

• Collecting and assembling all required tools, inserts, fixtures, and gauges for each job.

Kit Accuracy

• Cross-checking kits against job sheets, CNC programs, and setup instructions.
• Clearly labeling kits for easy identification.

• Actively participating in 5S and lean initiatives within the Pre-Kitting area.
