Job summary

Our client, a British manufacturer of agricultural machinery, is seeking a full-time plasma operative to join their established team in the United Kingdom. The role offers a wage of £13.89 per hour and a Monday–Thursday 06:30–16:45 schedule.

You will operate CNC Plasma, handle stock materials with lifting equipment, and ensure components meet strict quality and accuracy standards. Daily checks and safe operation are required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC Plasma and adjusting settings to ensure quality control.
• Experience using overhead cranes, magnets and other lifting equipment to move sheets/parts.
• Experience using a range of electrical and hand tools and related equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents to inspect finished components.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively.
• Safety boots are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Plasma and move stock materials using lifting equipment.
• Produce components according to drawings and instructions with high accuracy.
• Meet standards of accuracy, efficiency, quality and output as directed by the Company.
• Perform daily checks on machinery and tools and report defects.
• Choose appropriate methods and equipment per requirements and safety standards.
• Ensure correct parts flow through Shop 1 to appropriate areas and report shortages.
