Job summary

Nuclearinst in Nailsworth is seeking a CNC Operator (Training on Programming) to join our family‑run engineering team. You will program, set, and operate CNC machinery to produce precision components for demanding industries.

We provide extensive in‑house and external training to advance your skills and careers. The role includes working Monday to Thursday, 07:30–17:00 and Fridays 07:30–12:30, with overtime paid at 1.3x and a Christmas shutdown.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship trained or 1+ years machining experience.
• CNC background or similar.
• Willing to learn new programmes and machines.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery.
• Manufacturing precision components for Nuclear, Defence, Marine and Oil industries.
• Internal and external training on a variety of machines and programmes.
• Working Monday to Thursday, 07:30 am - 17:00 pm and 7:30 am-12:30 pm on Fridays.
• Overtime available paid at 1.3x.
• Christmas Shutdown from the 24th till the 2nd of January.

In this role, the successful candidate will receive extensive in‑house and external training where they can develop their skills, learn new programmes and be trained on a variety of different machines, including new machinery that they have invested in over the last few years.

The Role:

• Programming, setting, and operating CNC Machinery
• Manufacturing precision components for Nuclear, Defence, Marine and Oil industries
