CNC Operator Joinery

Location: Doncaster/Scunthorpe

Employment Type: Full time permanent

Hours: Monday – Thursday 8 am – 4.30 pm, Friday 8 am – 3.30 pm. Start earlier and finish later by 2 hours on occasions when very busy.

Salary: £27,000-£33,000 (Good Negotiable depending on experience). Overtime available.

Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, private cash/health plan.

We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join a reputable and established joinery manufacturing firm. The CNC operator helps to coordinate the department, maximising throughput while maintaining the highest levels of quality and health and safety, working closely with team members and company management.

The role involves working with SCM CNCs and new, top-quality machines, as well as helping to draw programmes and understanding how drawings work.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Programming schedules for the week ahead.
  2. Helping to train employees to diversify skills in the department.
  3. Ironmongery Stores control.
  4. CNC tooling supplies, working with purchasing to reduce spend.
  5. Increasing efficiency of the department.
  6. Corrective/Preventive action – work with all departments to report and prevent wasted/down time.
  7. Ensuring maintenance is carried out correctly and on time.
  8. Ensuring Health and Safety practices are observed.
  9. Any other reasonable duties that might be needed from time to time to assist the company in attaining its business objectives.
