Location – Bristol

Working hours – Day Shift, 40 hours per week

Hourly rate - DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Programming and operating 3 & 4 axis CNC machines on various materials (timbers, plastics, thin metals)
  • Translating 3D CAD drawings into precise, cut-ready files
  • Editing CAD files to factor in tolerances and material efficiency
  • Optimising layouts for economical use of materials
  • Collaborating with design & production teams, providing vital feedback on manufacturability
  • Inspecting, cleaning, and preparing cut elements for next-stage assembly and finishing
  • Managing workflow to meet production schedules
  • Performing routine maintenance and keeping the workspace safe and organised
  • Helping forecast material demand and maintaining stock levels

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ CNC machining experience
  • Proficiency with 2D & 3D CAD software (e.g., Rhino 8, Solidworks, AutoCAD)
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Excellent time management and teamwork skills
  • A motivated self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Basic physical fitness to handle manual materials safely

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with laser cutters and/or 3D printers
  • Previous fabrication and assembly knowledge
