Job description

Role- CNC Machinist

Location- Castleford

Salary- starting rates GBP13.80ph 15.00 depending upon experience

Hours- whilst on training on days Mon- Thurs 7.30am-4.30pm Fri (phone number removed)pm

After training, alternate shifts of early and lates (Shifts have a 17.5% premium on basic rate) (GBP16.21 - 17.39ph)

Mon - Thurs 6am-2pm Fri 6am-12.30.

Lates- Mon - Thurs 2pm-10pm Fri 12.30-6pm

My client is a leading Engineering Manufacturing company which have a medium sized facility in Castleford. They are currently looking for an experienced CNC Turner Setter Operator. The company are happy to look at someone semi-skilled, with a background in engineering manufacturing, particularly metal work as training will be given.

The company manufacture Moulds out of various metal, used within the glass industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar field - Injection Moulding, cnc machining or sheet metal will be relevant.
Programming is done offline so the role is purely operating.
Experience of using Fanuc controls would be an advantage but not essential, full training will be given.

Experience of reset and calibrating a machine would be an advantage.
The role will involve heavy lifting, moulds can weigh up to 25kg so you will need to also be physically fit and able bodied.
