Job summary

Hawk:3 Talent Solutions are recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist based in Gloucestershire. The role covers setting, operating and programming CNC machines to produce components from engineering drawings.

You will work with Mazak and Fanuc controls on both one-off and batch parts, ensuring high-quality output while maintaining a safe, tidy workshop and collaborating with a friendly engineering team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist is essential.
• Strong experience in CNC setting, operating and programming.
• Mazak and Fanuc control experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with CNC turning and milling.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Experience producing both one-off and batch components.

Responsibilities

• Setting, operating and programming CNC machines.
• Producing components to precise specifications from engineering drawings.
• Working on both one-off and batch production.
• Setting and loading machines, including selecting and changing appropriate tooling.
• Making tool and offset adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy.
• Monitoring machining processes and resolving any issues.
• Carrying out quality checks using precision measuring equipment.
• Working with CNC turning and milling machinery.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Working effectively as part of a friendly engineering team.

Salary: Starting from A GBP 36,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: Monday:Thursday 7:30am:4:30pm Friday 7:30am:12:00pm

• Good understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds and machining processes.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
