CNC Operator

Major Recruitment are currently looking for a number of CNC operators to work for our client based in Yatton, North Somerset.

Role: CNC Operator

Hours: Monday to Friday, flexible shift times 6:00-14:00/7:00-15:00/8:00-16:00, it is 37.5 hours a week with unpaid break.

Pay: between £12.56-£14.41 depending on experience + 0.50p uplift of attendance allowance bonus.

Attractive Overtime Rates:

1. x 1.3 on weekdays
2. x 1.5 first 8 hours of weekend work
3. x 2 second 8 hours of weekend work

Main Duties:

1. Using Heidenhain, Siemens and Fanuc systems to produce quality machined parts and tooling.
2. Studying work orders, drawings and machine planning (some training given).
3. Working to set procedures and tolerances.
4. Maintain continuity among colleagues by documenting, reporting and communicating on actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
5. To undertake training and operate a range of CNC machinery.
6. To maintain the work area to a high standard of housekeeping (knowledge of 5S is advantageous).
7. To lead by example and portray a good attitude at all times.
8. To undertake training as required by the company's needs.
