Mansell Recruitment Group is seeking a CNC Operator for a plastics manufacturer in Lancashire. The role involves programming and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality components to customer specifications, reading drawings, and setting up tooling.

You will ensure efficient production with a focus on accuracy and adherence to quality and safety standards. You will also maintain a clean work area, assist in finishing parts, prepare materials for machining, and ensure finished parts are

• Experience operating CNC machinery and programming where required.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsabilidades

• Program and operate CNC machinery to manufacture parts to required specifications by reading engineering drawings and/or working from samples.
• Ensure production runs smoothly, meeting quality and delivery expectations.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Assist in finishing off parts (trimming, tapping, drilling, etc.).
• Prepare material for machining and cut blanks to size.
• Prepare finished parts for despatch.
• Prepare materials in Goods In for stock booking.
• Read and interpret work orders for accurate production.
• Attend SQCDP meetings and contribute to improvements.
• Minimise material waste by optimal nesting and sheet yield.
• Deliver products on time and in full with high quality.
• Adhere to safety regulations and best practices.
• Work efficiently to reduce downtime and waste.
• Maintain accurate stock records and ensure materials are available.

CNC Operator The CNC Programmer/Operator is responsible for programming and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality plastic components that meet customer specifications. The role requires efficiency in production, attention to detail, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Program and operate CNC machinery to manufacture parts to required specifications by reading engineering drawings and/or working from samples.
• Ensure production runs smoothly, meeting quality and delivery expectations.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Assist in finishing off parts. I.E. Trimming, Tapping, Drilling etc.
• Prepare material ready for machining, using the saws to cut blanks to size.
• Prepare finished parts for despatch.
• Prepare materials in the Goods In area for booking into stock.
• Read and interpret work orders to ensure accurate production.
• Attend SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People) meetings and contribute to continuous improvement discussions.
• Ensure the best sheet yield is used when nesting parts to minimize material waste and improve efficiency
• Deliver products on time and in full while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Adhere to company safety regulations and best practices.
• Work efficiently to reduce downtime and waste.
• Maintain accurate stock records and ensure materials are available for production.

PACKAGE

Salary: £28,000-£31,000

Hours: 7.30 to 4.30 Mon-Fri and 6.30 to 1pm on a Friday. 40.5 Hours
