About the Role

We are looking for a Senior CNC Operator to join a forward-thinking business. This role involves more than traditional operation—you’ll be encouraged to take ownership, think critically, and contribute to process improvements.

You’ll operate and fine-tune Benzinger CNC machines, working closely with the team to optimize processes, reduce waste, and ensure high-quality results. Programming experience is beneficial but training will be provided. We're seeking someone eager to learn, develop, and innovate.

What You’ll Do

1. CNC Operation & Setup
   • Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills based on job specifications.
   • Adjust offsets, tool lengths, and machine parameters for precision and quality.
   • Load and verify CNC programs (G-code) for accuracy and efficiency.
2. Programming & Optimization
   • Modify or create basic CNC programs (training provided).
   • Collaborate on process improvements to streamline workflows and reduce material waste.
3. Quality & Precision
   • Inspect components using precision measuring tools.
   • Maintain tight tolerances and surface finishes through inspections.
4. Maintenance & Problem-Solving
   • Perform routine machine maintenance.
   • Diagnose and resolve machine or programming issues.
   • Identify inefficiencies and suggest solutions for continuous improvement.
5. Collaboration & Flexibility
   • Support team coverage during absences or high workload.
   • Work with colleagues and consultants to enhance performance and innovation.
