We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Operator based in North Bedfordshire on a full-time permanent basis.

Summary of the CNC Operator role

Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP33,000 dependent on experience
Location: North Beds
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Responsibilities of the CNC Operator

• Prepare and operate CNC machines.
• Translate instructions into computer commands.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
• Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts.
• Inspect and measure final products.

Requirements for a successful CNC Operator

• Engineering qualifications or time-served apprenticeship within a relevant role.
• Experience using Homag or Holzer CNC machines.
• Experience using precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
• CAD/CAM experience.
• Strong numeracy skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
