Job summary

Ipeco Holdings Limited in the Rochford/Southend-on-Sea area is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to manufacture small-batch aerospace components from engineering drawings on HMCs and VMCs. You will verify dimensions with precision measuring equipment and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

The role requires reading metric and imperial drawings, deburring and packing parts, and collaborating with the team to meet deadlines while upholding quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture a variety of small-batch components from engineering drawings to tight tolerances on horizontal and vertical machining centres.
• Use a wide range of measuring equipment to check components after manufacture.
• Carry out tasks allocated by the Supervisor in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
• Support team members with other tasks as needed.
• Help create and maintain a safe working environment and observe Health & Safety procedures.
• Complete final drilling of machined components from drawings within tight limits.
• Deburr and pack machined components.
• Carry out other tasks in Assembly, Machine Shop and Fabrication as required.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Responsible for manufacturing a variety of small-batch components from engineering drawings to within tight limits on horizontal and vertical machining centres.
• Responsible for using a wide range of measuring equipment to check small-batch components after manufacture.
• Responsible for carrying out all tasks allocated by the Supervisor in a timely and efficient manner.
• Responsible for ensuring that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained.
• To support team members with other tasks as and when necessary.
• To help create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published Health & Safety procedures.
• Responsible for completing final drilling of machined components from engineering drawings within tight limits.
• Responsible for deburring and packing machined components.
• To carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant within any manufacturing area which includes Assembly, Machine Shop and Fabrication.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Maths/English GCSE, (or equivalent) at grade C or above
