Job description

CNC Op/Programmer

Permanent Role, £15p/hr to £16.50p/hr DOE, 40hrs per week, Mon-Fri, 25 days holiday

Location: Yeadon

I am looking for an experienced CNC Turner and an experienced CNC Miller to work for a busy and growing Precision Engineering firm based near to Yeadon, Leeds.

Key requirements for the role include:

Turner:
  1. Experienced with Fanuc, Siemens or Mazak is essential
  2. Knowledge of ShopTurn would be beneficial
  3. Must be able to Program
  4. Knowledge of machining Stainless and Mild Steel, Aluminium, Brass, Copper, Bronze & Plastic
  5. Machining bespoke small to medium batch size components (5's to 200's)
  6. Ability to use measuring equipment such as Verniers and Micrometres

Miller:
  1. Experienced with HAAS, Fanuc or Protrak is essential
  2. Experience of Machining up to 4-axis
  3. Must be able to Program
  4. Knowledge of machining Stainless and Mild Steel, Aluminium, Brass, Copper, Bronze & Plastic
  5. Machining bespoke small to medium batch size components (5's to 200's)
  6. Ability to use measuring equipment such as Verniers and Micrometres

Day to day duties of this role include:
  1. Programming, setting and operating CNC's to produce accurate, quality components on time
  2. Effective and efficient use of all materials and tooling
  3. Managing your work schedule
  4. Self inspecting all manufactured components
  5. Adhering to all Quality and H&S Standards

You will be contracted to 40hrs per week working Monday to Thursday from 7am to 4.30pm with an 11am finish on a Friday. The starting Pay Rate for the role is experience dependant ranging between £15p/hr up to £16.50p/hr. Overtime is available during busy periods throughout the week.
