Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with 4 and 5-axis CNC machines, capable of independently setting up and operating equipment, and working from engineering drawings and CAD files.

Responsibilities include:

1. Manufacture parts using CNC machines and conventional equipment, adhering to quality standards.
2. Plan and execute machining jobs based on schedules and drawings.
3. Set up and prove out jobs, adjusting parameters as needed in collaboration with programming staff.
4. Assemble tools and toolholders, and set with presetter.
5. Design and manufacture fixtures and work holding devices.
6. Manage tooling and material inventory, and coordinate with supervisors for procurement.
7. Program new parts and modify existing programs using Mazatrol.
8. Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal operation.
9. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, complying with safety regulations.
10. Take ownership of work quality, demonstrate professionalism, and work effectively with team members.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. High school or technical training in machining; diploma, certificate, or degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years experience operating 4 and 5-axis CNC machining centers, preferably in a low volume/high mix environment.
3. Proficiency in setting up, proving out, and programming CNC machines, including editing EIA programs.
4. Experience with precision measurement tools and reading technical drawings with GD&T knowledge.
5. Understanding of work holding, tool holding, and cutting tools.
6. Strong math skills and basic computer proficiency.
7. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
8. Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and demands.
9. Excellent communication skills in English.
10. Ability to produce high-quality parts on time and to specifications.
