Purpose of the role:

The CNC Milling Programmer is responsible for on-line and off-line programming of CNC milling machines up to 5-axis, to produce components from models and drawings supporting the production of bespoke tooling.

Main Responsibilities:

• On and off-line programming of a range of CNC milling machines primarily utilising OneCNC software, with Siemens CNC controls and some Fanuc. Future plans include increased use of SolidCAM.
• Liaise with Design to ensure all works routings, drawings, models, and customer samples are available and correctly interpreted to develop machining strategies and programmes.
• Perform machine setup and tooling selection to ensure efficient production runs.
• Operate multiple CNC milling machines, ensuring maximum machine utilisation, including loading materials, setting tool offsets, and running production jobs.
• Identify and report non-conformances (NCR), aid with root cause analysis, and ensure NCRs are rectified promptly.

Technical Skills:

• Programming CNC Milling machines up to 5 Axis, familiar with Siemens CNC Controls.
