Job summary

Major Recruitment is seeking a qualified CNC Miller or CNC Turner for a busy subcontract precision engineering company near Bradford. You will program, set and operate CNC Mills or Lathes, working from engineering drawings to produce precision one-offs and small batches. Apprentice Trained or Time Served with solid programming experience is required, with experience on multiple controls desirable. Overtime and a modern workshop with a strong order book are offered.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained or Time Served CNC Miller/Turner with solid programming experience.
• CNC Programming experience is essential.
• Experience on Haas, Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens or Hurco controls is advantageous.
• Experience in a subcontract precision engineering environment would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC Mills or CNC Lathes.
• Producing precision one-offs, prototypes and small batch components.
• Working from engineering drawings.
• Inspecting your own work using standard measuring equipment.
• Working to tight tolerances in a quality-driven environment.
• Taking projects from programme to finished component.

£16.00 - £18.00 per hour (Negotiable DOE)
Mon-Thurs 7.30am-4.30pm Fri 7.30am-12.30pm
Plenty of Overtime Available

• Experience on one or more of the following controls:
• Haas
• Fanuc
• Heidenhain
• Siemens
• Hurco
• Ability to work independently and solve problems at the machine
• Experience in a subcontract precision engineering environment would be advantageous
