Job Description:

We are recruiting for a Skilled CNC Mill/Turn Machinist for a well-established Aerospace company based in Poole, Dorset.

Responsibilities:

  • Programming, setting, and operating CNC MILL/TURN Lathe machines
  • Using FANUC control system to produce turned components according to customer drawings and specifications
  • Producing offline and online CNC programs
  • Experience with Edgecam software/programming is advantageous but not essential
  • Inspecting your own work to drawing and SPC requirements
  • Maintaining high engineering standards - fully skilled
  • Keeping your work area to a high standard of 5C/5S

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering
  • High standard of engineering ability - fully skilled
  • Knowledge of Nakamura machines with bar feed is a plus but not essential
  • Proficient with FANUC Controls and experienced in the aerospace industry

Salary ranges from £16.80 to £21.50 per hour depending on experience and skills. Night shift options are available at x1.5 rate, potentially increasing the rate to £26.70 per hour.

Hours:

Starting at 7am or 8am and finishing at 4pm or 5pm, with flexible options. Monday to Friday, with possibilities to condense hours into fewer days. Basic 39 hours per week.
