Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced CNC Miller Setter to join our team, working with Haas 3, 4 & 5 axis milling machines. You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC mills, ensuring components are produced to exact specifications and maintaining the highest levels of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate Haas CNC milling machines (3, 4 & 5 axis).
• Interpret engineering drawings and CAD data to produce precision components.
• Select, set, and adjust tooling for each job.
• Carry out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring equipment.
• Ensure parts are produced within tight tolerances and to the required surface finish.
• Maintain production efficiency, making adjustments where necessary.
• Keep machines and work areas clean and safe, following company health & safety procedures.
• Work closely with colleagues to improve processes, reduce cycle times, and support continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a CNC Miller Setter is essential.
• Strong knowledge of Haas CNC controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Competent in the use of precision measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.).
• Understanding of tight tolerances and machining principles.
• CNC programming knowledge is desirable but not essential.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Flexible and reliable team player with a positive attitude.
