Job summary

Orion Electrotech is recruiting an experienced CNC Miller & Programmer to join a busy precision engineering company in Nottingham. You will program, set and operate CNC milling machines, produce one-off and batch components from engineering drawings, and optimise programmes to improve efficiency and cycle times.

Stand-ards of health and safety are important, and you will read engi-neering drawings, select tooling and fixturing, and carry out first-off inspections using measuring equipment.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC milling experience.
• CNC programming experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC milling machines.
• Produce one-off and batch components from engineering drawings.
• Optimise programmes to improve efficiency and cycle times.
• Select tooling, fixtures and workholding.
• Carry out first-off inspections and quality checks using measuring equipment.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
