Overview
We are looking for a skilled CNC Miller Programmer to join an engineering company located in Wolverhampton on a permanent basis. Our client specialises in the manufacture of prototypes and newly designed projects, which are simply one of a kind. The components range from medium to large and are used to create complex equipment for the Nuclear, Petrochemical, Defence and Energy markets.

Your responsibilities include:
- Set, operate and program machines using Fanuc controls, including making fixtures when required
- Produce a wide range of low volume, prototype components
- Working to tight tolerances of microns
- Machining exotic materials such as Inconel, Titanium, etc, to produce components
- Maintain accurate records for all work in order to comply with company and industry standards
Suitable applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:
- Proven experience in setting, operating and programming 3-5 axis Milling machines using Fanuc or Heidenhain controls
- Ideally machined precision components for high profile industries such as; Nuclear, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Defence, etc.
- Experience working with low volume, prototype work
- Machining exotic materials such as Duplex, Inconel, and Titanium
- Working to tight tolerances of microns
- Confident read and interpreting engineering drawings
- Performed multiple set ups per day
- Previous experience with vertical or horizontal boring is desirable but not essential
