Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-4pm Flexible start/finish

Our client is a subcontract machine shop that has been around for over 45 years. The company has doubled in size within the last 10 years and is still growing.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled CAD/CAM Programmer with experience in OneCNC to program 3 & 4 axis Hurco CNC machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining and toolpath optimisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Create and optimise CNC programs using OneCNC for 3 & 4 axis Hurco machines.
  2. Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and specifications to generate accurate toolpaths.
  3. Collaborate with machinists to refine programs for efficiency, accuracy, and reduced cycle times.
  4. Select appropriate cutting tools and machining strategies for different materials.
  5. Troubleshoot and optimize CNC programs to improve quality and minimize waste.
  6. Ensure compliance with company and industry standards for machining and safety.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a CAD/CAM Programmer, ideally with OneCNC software.
  2. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T standards.
  3. Hands-on experience in CNC machining and toolpath optimization.
  4. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
