The ideal candidate will have proven experience with Heidenhain CNC machines, the ability to read complex drawings in metric and imperial units, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement in a quality-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC Miller or Precision Engineer.
• Experience programming and operating Heidenhain controlled CNC machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings in metric and imperial units.
• Competent in self-inspection and quality checking of finished work.
• Reliable, highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet customer deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture precision components to exact specifications with focus on quality and efficiency.
• Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings.
• Program, set and operate CNC Milling Machines using Heidenhain controls.
• Create programmes and production methods for new components using Fusion 360.
• Carry out first-off and in-process inspections using gauges and QC procedures.
• Support production planning and material ordering activities as required.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in line with ISO9001 standards.
• Work collaboratively within a team-focused environment and support business objectives.
• Adhere to company policies, quality standards and health & safety procedures.
