Working hours: Monday to Friday 02:00 pm to 10:00 pm

We are now seeking to recruit 4 CNC milling setters / operators to work for an engineering company based in Gloucester. The successful candidate will be responsible for machining components that meet design tolerances according to manufacturing schedules and drawings. You will be setting and operating CNC milling machines with 3+2 axes and Haas controls.

Responsibilities of CNC miller:

• Setting and operating CNC milling machines with 3+2 axes and Haas controls
• Ensuring parts conform to drawings and are processed within the scheduled timeframe
• Maintaining accurate documentation
• Measuring, adjusting, and maintaining tight tolerances

Candidate requirements:

• Previous experience as a CNC setter/operator with knowledge of part editing
• Experience with multi-axis milling and some lathes, preferably HAAS
• Ability to adjust feeds and speeds for a variety of materials including aluminium, steel grades, and polymers like HDPE
• Experience working to tight tolerances with understanding of surface finish requirements
• Proficiency with measuring instruments such as bore mics, go/no-go gauges, thread gauges, verniers, and protractors
• Ability to read and interpret first and third angle projections
