Overview

We are currently looking to recruit a skilled CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator to join our small, friendly, and experienced team based in Huddersfield (HD4) for our precision engineering client.

Job Details

Location: Huddersfield

Position: Permanent

Hours: 39 per week

Shift: Monday - Thursday, 07:00 - 17:15

Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour (minimum) based on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Programme, set, and operate CNC milling machines using Fanuc or Heidenhain controls (experience with other systems also considered).
  • Produce high-precision one-offs and small batches in a variety of materials, including stainless steels and exotic alloys.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Carry out self-inspection using micrometers, bore mics, verniers, and other measuring tools.
  • Work to tight tolerances while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Contribute to a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Skills & Experience
  • Apprentice trained or a minimum of 3 years' experience in CNC milling programming, setting, and operating.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality precision components.
  • Competent in programming from drawings using Fanuc or Heidenhain controls.
  • Confident with precision measuring equipment and quality control procedures.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
