Job summary

A leading company is recruiting for a CNC Miller Programmer in Braintree, looking for a highly skilled candidate to join an expanding team of machinists. Responsibilities include programming machines, maintaining quality standards, and training team members, with an emphasis on experience with CAD/CAM systems and lean manufacturing concepts. Immediate starts are available.

  • Over 5 years of on-the-job experience.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM systems, ideally Hypermill.
  • Strong background in milling, turning, workshop processes, and quality standards.

  • Programming and running all machine tools within the business, generally Mazatrol, Fanuc, Heidenhain.
  • Maintaining hygienic conditions for employees and the factory.
  • Monitoring productivity, standards, and quality control.

Job Title: CNC Miller Programmer

Location: Braintree

Hours: Days based role

Pay Rate: ?40,000 - ?50,000

We are currently recruiting for a CNC Miller Programmer for our client in Braintree. They are looking for a highly skilled candidate to join their team of machinists that is expanding.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in manufacturing complex parts and will be capable of running multiple machines unsupervised, producing quality parts, and programming.

What's the job?
  • Programming and running all machine tools within the business, generally Mazatrol, Fanuc, Heidenhain
  • Competent use of Hypermill software to generate programs
  • Maintaining hygienic conditions for employees and the factory
  • Implementing company procedures and policies
  • Communicating problems or obstacles to the Production Manager
  • Monitoring productivity, standards, and quality control
  • Training and coaching team members
  • Improving processes and embedding knowledge within work order information
  • Implementing safety, health, environment, and quality requirements
  • Supporting other departments as needed
  • Performing any other reasonable tasks as required
Who can do this?
  • Over 5 years of on-the-job experience
  • Experience with CAD/CAM systems, ideally Hypermill
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments
  • Strong background in milling, turning, workshop processes, and quality standards
