CNC Turner and Miller

Durham

Full time

Working Hours: Twin SHIFT:

6am 2pm and 2pm 11:25pm Mon-Thurs alternating shifts.

6am - 12pm Friday. (Early shift only) Both 36.33 hrs per week

Salary:

  • Programmers GBP17 to GBP20 hourly rate depending on experience + 20% shift allowance.

(2 shift).

  • Setter/Operators - GBP14 to GBP17 ph.

Job Summary
Our client has a long and established reputation for customer excellence and responsiveness in the supply of complex, quality critical precision machined components and related assemblies. Join our busy, well-equipped and modern CNC machine shop in Durham as a permanent member of staff

Responsibilities

  • Safe operation of CNC turning centers
  • Programming and editing NC programs
  • Setting up and operating CNC machinery
  • Ensuring all parts meet precise drawing requirements
  • Completing quality check sheets and OEE documentation
  • Preventing Foreign Object Debris (FOD) contamination
  • Creating/updating setup sheets as required

Requirements

  • Time-served apprenticeship
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with billet work
  • Competency in programming/editing NC programs
  • Ability to read and follow aerospace protocols
  • Experience maintaining high quality standards
  • Self-motivated with ability to work unsupervised
  • Well-organized with attention to detail
  • Proven history in a busy sub-contract machine shop environment

Overtime 1.5 as standard and available most weeks. The company promotes flexible working hours.

Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays
