Job Opportunity: CNC Miller

Morson Talent is currently recruiting for a CNC Miller to work on behalf of a reputable aerospace client based in Yeovil, Somerset. This is a contract position until December 2025, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:
  • CNC programming, machining (programming, setting, and running 3-axis milling centres)
  • Operator Control of Quality (OCQ)
  • Ensuring on-time delivery by completing work to standard and on schedule
  • Interpreting engineering drawings, following process layouts and documentation procedures
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Engineering Apprenticeship (desirable but not essential)
  • Knowledge of CNC milling and machining
  • Experience with hand measuring equipment (Vernier, Micrometer, Thread and Plug Gauges)
  • High standards of health and safety
  • Adherence to company processes and procedures
  • Customer-focused attitude and target achievement
  • Experience working with designers and engineers
Attributes & Skills:
  • Understanding of aerospace practices and safety-critical work
  • Proficiency with PC and company systems
  • Adherence to health and safety standards, teamwork, flexibility, and initiative
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Additional training will be provided (e.g., PC skills, manual handling, 5S, HOS principles)
Working Hours:
  • Sunday - Monday, 22:00 - 07:00 (8.5 hours)
  • Monday - Friday, 00:00 - 07:00 (6.5 hours)
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Full BPSS screening (including proof of legal right to work, criminal records check, UK DBS, and drugs screening)
