Working Hours:

  • 8:00am to 5:00pm (Monday to Thursday)
  • 8:00am to 2:00pm (Friday)

As part of our small and highly skilled manufacturing team, you will be required to set and operate a range of CNC milling machines, up to and including 5-axis, to manufacture high-quality precision machined components.

Ideally, you will have prior experience in a similar sector and possess a strong level of competence in using GCode for programming Fanuc-controlled HAAS milling machines.

The ability to write basic milling codes is essential, as the client seeks an individual capable of producing high-quality components from drawings provided by clients, typically as replacement parts for existing products.

Activities:

  • Machining precision components from various raw materials to meet exacting engineering drawing standards.
  • Ensuring components are manufactured using relevant measuring equipment and in line with the individual component Inspection Schedule.
  • Setting and operating CNC milling machines with Haas/Fanuc or DMGMORI’s CELOS (Siemens-based) control.
  • Following the company’s Quality Management and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Ensuring quality and timely production.

The Person:

  • Completed a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship.
  • Experience within a precision engineering environment.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and use measurement equipment.
  • Experience with CNC Milling, ideally with 5-axis and casting machining.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
