Job summary

Optical Precision is seeking a CNC Miller Programmer/Setter (3-Axis Hurco) for days-only shifts in West Drayton, Greater London. The role offers £22.00–£24.00 per hour with overtime potential and a comprehensive benefits package.

CNC Miller Programmer / Setter (3-Axis Hurco) Pay Rate: £22.00 – £24.00 per hour (Dependent on experience). Location: West Drayton, Greater London. Shift: Days only (Monday to Friday). Earnings: High overtime potential. Comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Program, Set, and Operate: Work independently on 3-axis Hurco Milling machines using WinMax/Hurco controls.
• Precision Machining: Manufacture low-volume, complex components to exceptionally tight engineering tolerances.
• Quality Assurance: Self-inspect your work to uphold rigid AS9100 aerospace quality standards.
• Process Optimization: Collaborate with the team to improve cycle times and tooling efficiency.

What We Are Looking For

• Technical Expertise: Proven background as a CNC Miller Programmer and Setter.
• Control Proficiency: Direct, hands-on experience programming with Hurco controls is essential.
• Industry Standards: A strong track record of working within AS9100 or ISO9001 certified environments.

Qualifications

• Ideally Apprentice Trained, Time-Served, or holding equivalent NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications.
• Machine Familiarity: Experience with Hurco VM and VMX series (e.g., VM10, VM10i, VMX30, VMX42, VMX42T, VM1, BMC 2416) is highly advantageous.
