Job summary

Trident Recruitment Ltd, Gloucester, is seeking an experienced CNC Miller – Programmer, Setter & Operator to join a well-established subcontract precision engineering company. You will take components from engineering drawings through to finished parts, working across both 3-Axis and 5-Axis CNC milling machines.

The role involves programming, setting and operating CNC mills, reading detailed drawings, selecting tooling and speeds & feeds, and performing in-process inspection to maintain high

• Strong CNC milling experience.
• Ability to program, set and operate CNC mills.
• Experience with 3-Axis and/or 5-Axis machinery.
• Reading engineering drawings and interpreting tolerances.

Trident Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller – Programmer, Setter & Operator to join a well-established subcontract precision engineering company based in Gloucester.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Miller who is confident taking components from engineering drawing through to finished part, working across both 3-Axis and 5-Axis CNC milling machines.

The Role

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
• Working across 3-Axis and 5-Axis machining
• Programming using Fanuc, Heidenhain and/or Mazatrol controls
• Producing one-off and small-batch precision components
• Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
• Selecting tooling, speeds and feeds
• Carrying out in-process inspection using standard measuring equipment
• Working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
• Supporting continuous improvement and reducing machining cycle times

Requirements

• Strong CNC milling experience
• Programming, setting and operating capability
• Experience with 3-Axis and/or 5-Axis CNC machinery
• Knowledge of Fanuc, Heidenhain or Mazatrol
• Experience within a subcontract precision engineering environment
• Ability to work independently from engineering drawings
• Good understanding of tooling, workholding and machining processes

Package

• Up to £25.00 per hour, depending on experience
