About the Opportunity

TCS Consulting is delighted to be supporting a well-established precision engineering business based in Derbyshire. Supplying high-quality components to global clients in energy and technology markets, this company continues to invest in cutting-edge machinery and clean energy innovations as part of its long-term growth strategy.

Due to sustained demand and increased production, we are now looking for an experienced CNC Miller to join their modern machine shop. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on machinist who enjoys working in a supportive team environment and takes pride in producing quality components to tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines.

  • Manufacture components to exact specifications and tolerance requirements.

  • Ensure quality and precision from first-off to final inspection.

  • Suggest and implement programme improvements to enhance efficiency and part quality.

  • Make authorised modifications to CNC programs based on technical drawings or design requirements.

  • Carry out in-process checks to maintain production quality standards.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a smooth production workflow.

What We re Looking For

  • Proven experience in CNC programming, setting, and operating (milling or turning).

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.

  • Experience with FANUC controls is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with multi-axis or twin turret CNC machines is a bonus.

  • Qualified via recognised engineering apprenticeship or HND.

  • Experience with CMM inspection techniques desirable but not essential.

  • Most importantly a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and team-oriented mindset.
