Qualifications

  • Strong experience within a subcontract environment on complex parts.
  • Capability to set and operate as well as program CNC mills/lathes/mill turns.
  • Familiarity with CNC and manual machining facilities.

We are recruiting for a CNC Miller with 5 axis milling experience for a client in the Cheltenham area. Our client is looking for a CNC Miller that is capable of not only setting and operating, but also programming CNC mills/lathes/mill turn.

Our client manufactures bespoke products for various industries, including, aerospace, defence, oil and gas sectors, and bespoke architectural metal work, using core CNC and manual machining facilities which can cater for a broad range of products. They regularly invest in the latest technology and operating systems and offer large engineering component solutions to set us apart from our competitors.

The right candidate will also need to be able to demonstrate error detection and problem solving, liaise with CAD programmers over refinements and methods, work to lists and assist colleagues.

Candidates must have strong experience within a subcontract environment on complex parts. Our client runs Mazak mills and lathes, and Doosan mill turns, so familiarity with Mazatrol / Fanuc controls are ideal , although not essential as all programming is done offline, currently using Feature Cam.

Working hours would be 7am – 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am – 1pm on Fridays. Currently unlimited over time paid at time and a third Monday to Friday morning and time and a half Friday afternoon and weekends.
