Job summary

Hyde Group is seeking a CNC Miller to join our Atherton manufacturing facility. You will set and operate CNC milling machines with Heidenhain or Siemens controls on a day shift (Mon-Thu 7:30am–4:00pm, Fri 7:30am–12:30pm) with overtime available.

Ideal candidates will be time served apprentices with BTEC or City and Guilds, experienced in Aluminium, Mild Steel and Stainless Steel, and preferably with multi-pallet machine experience in aerospace/defence contexts.

Qualifications

• Time served apprentice with a recognized qualification such as BTEC or City and Guilds.
• Experience operating CNC milling machines with Heidenhain or Siemens controls.
• Experience machining Aluminium, Mild Steel, Stainless Steel.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC milling machines.
• Work on a range of CNC milling machines with Heidenhain or Siemens controls.
• Operate on a day shift: Mon-Thu 7:30–16:00 and Fri 7:30–12:30 with overtime available.
• Contribute to first-time-right quality and on-time delivery.
• Support continuous improvement within the manufacturing facility.

About the opportunity

As a CNC miller you will have experience of operating a range of CNC Milling machines. It is essential that you can set and operate CNC Milling Machines that operate Heidenhain or Siemens controls. Previous experience of working on Multi Pallet machines would be of benefit. Ideally, you will also have experience of machining different types of materials, primarily Aluminium, Mild Steel, and Stainless Steel. Experience in the Aerospace & Defence sectors would be an advantage.

Naturally, you will be a time served apprentice with a recognized qualification such as BTEC or City and Guilds.

This is a day shift role, working Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 4:00pm and Friday from 7:30am to 12:30pm, with plenty of overtime available.
