CNC Miller Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Miller who is proficient in programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls.

CNC Miller - Responsibilities:

1. Create, edit, and optimise CNC programs using Heidenhain controls to produce precision components according to engineering specifications.
2. Set up CNC milling machines, including tooling, fixtures, and workpieces, ensuring accurate alignment and calibration for optimal performance.
3. Operate CNC milling machines to produce components, monitoring the machining process to ensure consistent quality and adherence to specifications.
4. Conduct first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMM) to ensure components meet required tolerances.
5. Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process, including tool wear, machine errors, and programming discrepancies.
6. Collaborate with the production team to improve machining processes, reduce cycle times, and increase efficiency.
7. Perform routine maintenance on CNC milling machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

CNC Miller - Requirements:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Miller with expertise in programming and operating Heidenhain-controlled machines.
2. Proficient in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications.
3. Strong knowledge of Heidenhain programming language, with the ability to create and modify programs.
4. Excellent attention to detail with a strong understanding of machining principles and tight tolerance requirements.
5. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
6. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

CNC Miller Salary & Benefits:

1. Up to £36,000pa
2. 25 days holiday + 8 days bank holidays
3. Company sick pay scheme (after 12 month service)
4. Overtime at time & a half
