Job description

Job Title: CNC Mill/Turn Setter – Late Shift or Night Shift

Location:

Havant, UK

Job Type:

Full-Time | Permanent | Late Shift or Nights

Shift Pattern:
  • Lates - Monday to Thursday: 14:30 – 22:30 (½ hour lunch)
  • Friday: 12:30 – 20:00
  • Nights - Monday to Thursday: 22:30 – 07:30
About the Company:

A well-established and forward-thinking engineering company, operating at the forefront of marine and industrial manufacturing technologies, is seeking a skilled CNC Mill/Turn setter to join its dynamic team on the late shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operate CNC turning machinery with a safety-first approach
  2. Adjust Mazak machines
  3. Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S principles
  4. Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies
  5. Work to defined process times and quality standards
  6. Collaborate with team members to improve processes
  7. Support cross-training and team development
  8. Support other machining disciplines as needed
Requirements:
  1. Apprenticeship-trained or equivalent engineering background
  2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing
  3. Experience with Mazatrol or ISO (G-code) controls
  4. Proficiency with modern cutting tools and machining practices
  5. Experience working with materials like Inconel, aluminium bronze, cast iron, duplex, and stainless steel
  6. Knowledge of milling and turning techniques
  7. Experience with composite materials (advantage)
  8. Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
  9. Knowledge of CI/Lean practices (e.g., 5S, 7 Wastes)
  10. Strong communication skills
  11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Education:
  1. GCSE/O-Level or equivalent
  2. Engineering Apprenticeship (preferred)
