Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Mill-Turn Machinist for a precision subcontractor in Woking. You will program, set and operate DMG Mori machines with Siemens controls, splitting focus between high-volume and high-tolerance work.

The role offers a 12:30 finish on Fridays, a bonus for attendance, and overtime at 1.5x. Established in the 1950s, the company focuses on aerospace, automotive, medical and defence sectors.

Qualifications

• Must have 5 years' experience running, setting and operating Turn-Mills.
• Commutable to Woking and able to work a flexible start/finish pattern.
• Experience with DMG Mori machines and Siemens controls is essential.

Are you an experienced CNC Mill-Turn operator looking to step into a role with a precision sub-contracting manufacturer offering a great work-life balance with a 12.30pm finish on Fridays, bonuses for just showing up and some opportunity for overtime at 1.5x pay?

Established in the 1950’s, this independent sub-contracting engineering company manufactures precision components for a range of sectors such as the automotive, medicine, defence, oil & gas with a focus on the Aerospace industry. After constant growth, they are looking for the next Engineer to join their expert team.

In this role, you will be running a cell of 2 machines, programming, setting and operating Mills and Lathes. This is a dynamic role and will roughly be a 60-40% split between high-volume essential work and high tolerance work requiring full attention.

This role will suit an experienced Mill-Turn operator who is looking to join an established company that facilitates a good work life balance and an opportunity to work with the most cutting-edge equipment available to the industry.

The Role:

• Programming, setting and operating DMG Mori machines with Siemen's controls
• Working Monday-Thursday (7:30am-4:30pm) and Fridays (7:30am-12:30pm) with a flexible start and finish of 8am-5pm and 8am-1pm.
• Opportunity for overtime (1.5x pay) and 10 hours of basic rate bonus every quarter if no unauthorized absences are taken
