Job summary

Omega Resource Group in Tewksbury, Gloucestershire, is seeking an experienced CNC Mill/Turn Machinist to join their sub-contract engineering team. The role involves setting and operating CNC MILL/TURN lathes with FANUC controls, producing components to drawings, and inspecting work to SPC requirements.

Applicants should have completed a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship and be fully skilled in precision machining, ideally with Nakamura bar-feed experience and aerospace exposure.

Qualifications

• Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering.
• Fully skilled engineer with high standard of workmanship.
• Experience with Nakamura machines and bar feed is an advantage.
• Proficient with FANUC controls and aerospace experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC MILL/TURN lathe machines with FANUC control to produce components to drawings and specifications.
• Inspection of your own work to drawing and SPC requirements.
• Maintain your area to a high standard of 5C/5S.
• Run one or more CNC machines and ensure quality and timely delivery.

Role: CNC Mill/Turn Machinist

Location: Tewksbury

Shift: Full time Permanent Nightshift

Salary – Up to £40,000 per annum dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities – CNC Mill/Turn Machinist

A great opportunity to join a successful sub-contract engineering business located in beautiful Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. They are looking for a skilled CNC Mill/Turn machinist (Setter Operator level) to supplement their team in a role that has arisen through growth.

This role provides the business with the running of one or more CNC machines.

• Setting and operating CNC MILL/TURN Lathe machines with FANUC operating control system to produce turned components to customer drawings and specifications
• Inspection of your own work to drawing and SPC requirements
• General high standard of engineering ability – fully skilled
• Maintain your area to a high standard of 5C/5S

Qualifications & Requirements – CNC Mill/Turn Machinist

• Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering
• General high standard of engineering ability – fully skilled
• Working knowledge of Nakamura machines with bar feed is an advantage but not essential
• Adept with FANUC Controls and have solid experience in the aerospace industry.
