Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Miller for a busy precision engineering team in Watford. The role suits a setter/operator or operator with proven 3-axis Fanuc CNC milling experience. You will manufacture precision components from engineering drawings, ensuring quality and on-time production.

Typical responsibilities include setting up, programming adjustments, tooling loads, offsets and in-process inspection. The position is permanent and salary is based on experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a setter/operator or operator on 3-axis Fanuc-controlled CNC milling machines.
• Ability to set up tooling, spindle speeds, feeds and tool selection.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Competent with inspection tools (micrometers, verniers, dial indicators, height gauges).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program adjustments and operate 3-axis Fanuc CNC mills.
• Prepare machines, fit tooling, set offsets and load programs.
• Produce high-quality machined parts to specification and ensure first-time-right production.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and inspection documentation.
• Carry out in-process and final inspection using micrometers and calipers.
• Maintain machine housekeeping and routine maintenance checks.
• Work to production schedules and meet quality and efficiency targets.
• Communicate with supervisors, quality and engineering teams.
