Job summary

Aimuk is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to strengthen our advanced CNC machining team in Lichfield. You will develop machining strategies, generate toolpaths, and improve manufacturing efficiency while collaborating with suppliers and internal teams.

You will work with FANUC, Siemens, and Mazatrol controls, support project estimation, and optimise processes to deliver aerospace-grade precision components in a high-precision environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC milling and turning process development.
• Proficiency in Fusion 360 CAM for toolpaths.
• Experience with FANUC, Siemens, or Mazatrol controls.
• Ability to analyse machining challenges and implement efficient solutions.
• Able to communicate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Experience with ERP for estimation and planning is desirable.
• Experience in aerospace/defence/automotive or precision engineering is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop effective manufacturing strategies for CNC milling and turning operations.
• Create accurate and efficient toolpaths using Fusion 360 CAM.
• Work with CNC machine controllers to refine and validate machining processes.
• Support project estimation, job costing, and planning activities using ERP systems.
• Optimise cycle times, tooling selection, and machining workflows.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, material suppliers, and external partners.
• Assist production and quality teams in delivering precision components to aerospace-level standards.
